Vacation, where have you been all my life? ha ha ha. That's what I'm thinking right now. As of 5:15 tonight Dane and I started our vacation. Our first stop? The Iowa State Fair. We enjoyed listening to The Nadas, a local band from Des Monies, You can check them out if you would like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQ5sv2MhKYI This is my favorite song by them. "Good Night Girl" However most of them are pretty easy to listen to.

We also had our annual ice cream from The AE Dairy Barn, a tradition that Dane has carried on from his family, and of course my favorite FRESH SQUEEZED lemonade. ahhhh a taste of wonderful for the palate.
Well, there are many more adventures to be had within the next couple of days. The plan is to head to the Chicago area. Hoping for safe travels and a good time :) Soooooo excited to have this time with my awesome guy!

ReplyDeleteAlso, I am also a fan of the Nadas...have been from the beginning. The lead singer (in the center of the picture--Mike Butterworth) is a loooooooong time family friend. Small world. :)
